This strategy can be used on any weapon that you reload in the game and it comes in handy with the big guns that have 5 seconds of reload animation.
To reload weapons faster, put the weapon in a favourite slot and add another one to the slot next to it (can be any, but works best if they are next to each other).
After you shot the weapon, quickly switch to the other one and back to the original weapon through the favourite menu. Your weapon will now appear reloaded in your hand in about a second.
